In March of 2015, our family drove through Wellington for the very first time. We really didn't know what to expect from this place, but it didn't take us long to realize that we liked it. Having a one-street downtown strip was different for us, but it really didn't take long for Wellington to feel like home.
One of the amazing things that we recognized right away was a friendliness among our neighbors. People along our street knew each other and welcomed us quickly. There were other children for our kids to play with and many of the parents were open to friendships as well.
Wellington still has a lot of small town charm. It still has more of a "community" feel rather than a "city" feel. And we like that.
In much the same way, we think the church should feel like and reflect the best parts of the community. So, we hope that you'll join us at Trailhead. And when you do, we expect that you will be welcomed in like friends. After all, that's the way God welcomes all of us. He wants us to feel at home in His presence. He is eager for us to be a part of His community.
Trailhead doesn't exist to have the best show in town or to beat people over the head with religion. We just want to pursue the things of God together...in very authentic ways. We want to love God well. We want to love people well. And we want to walk in the ways of Jesus.
Will you journey with us?
